Hey Sebastion-
I’ve used Contact Alarm on w/Skype on XP with no problems, but it DEFINITIELY does not like Vista 64. Fails right out of the gate, unfortunately. This is a new Vista install, with UAC and a few other “security features” of Vista disabled.

I’d like to help resolve the Vista issues-I can also test in Vista 32 via a Virtual Machine.

Let me know what I can do to contribute.

it’s not a bug so far you’re not able to disable the notification. the next release will however have that feature! so hold still only a little longer

@Claudio
Have you tried running it under Vista? Some of the users have reported that it runs flawlessly.
The next release will also be fully Vista-compatible.

Hello Sebastian,

I like the plugin, it’s making life easier. One problem – I can’t disable the Popup Window for a alarm. So I have popup and sound or only popup. I would like to get only sound. Is this a feature or a bug? And I can not disable the notification of a user coming online.

I’m sorry, but I haven’t gotten a chance to test the app under Vista, yet. I will do so, however, in the next few weeks and hopefully find a way to fix the issues.

It doesn’t work with my Skype 3.8.0.115 and my Vista Ultimate. It says “ExlporingSkypeCall has stopped working”

Hey Chris,

sorry for taking so long to respond. I guess the problem is that you’re running a beta version of Skype 3.8. I haven’t tested the plugin for that version and I guess the people who provide the Extras Manager haven’t customized their product to the new version yet. So unfortunately you’ll have to wait for the “real” 3.8 version to be released or downgrade to the current stable 3.7 release

Thanks, Sebastian, but in my Skype version 3.8.096 beta I can’t find such a “Manage Extra” option. There is just an Extra button and that’s it. No log file available…!

What is wrong with it?

I’m beginning to ask myself the same question I had an issue with the previous version, because the license was messed up. “Lizenzen werden überprüft” means “licenses are being checked/verified”, but I’m wondering why the output is in german, since I published the extra with an english freeware license…

Could you do me a favor and go to Extras->Manage Extras->Options, then double-click on the second icon from the top (the one with the little flower and the “L” in it) and send me the .support file that you get there? You can get my e-mail address form the Contact page (top menu).
