As Sven already pointed out (thanks a lot) this bug is due to the way strings are handed over from iTunes. The API I'm using (Visual API) is pretty outdated, but I'll try to fix it, once I find the time to do so! There's another bug that needs to be fixed, too (apparently, iTunesSnarl makes iTunes crash on closing on some installations). Snarl itself can handle äöüß well but it is almost a little bit difficult to get the correct encoded strings out of the apps (also my first extensions like FireSnarl and ThunderSnarl in their first version had difficulties with that). I'm not sure if this is a problem with XP or Snarl, though, so I was just curious. For example, "Die Ärzte" just shows up as "Die rzte".
